Listen in to Sophie's Parlor each and every Thursday on wpfw.org from 1-3pm. Remember Sophie's Parlor is the show by women, about women, but for Everybody!
In honor of Black History Month and to commemorate the unending women who braved their lives, their freedom, and their souls I thought it best to allow the music today to remind us of what Black History is....A journey....A journey that we are constantly on, the destination is not reached for as we live and breathe each day we ourselves make Black History.
Just to give you a taste here is the immortal and amazing Abbey Lincoln doing Freedom Day with Max Roach in 1964.
