Debbie Allen's OMAN…O Man! Bringing together young dancers from the Sultanate of Oman, the Debbie Allen Dance Academy, and the D.C. area, this exciting music and dance extravaganza will transport you to where the Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea meet and the desert dunes mystify. This event runs until March 15th in the Eisenhower Theater at the Kennedy Center.

10:30 a.m. TANYA LEE STONE reports how the pioneering Mercury 13 women fought to participate in NASA's space program; were ALMOST ASTRONAUTS; and paved the way for women pilots and astronauts who followed. Mon. Mar. 16th
Pulitzer Prize-winning poets Claudia Emerson and Natasha Trethewey read from their celebrated works on Mar 16. Emerson is the winner of the 2006 prize for poetry and the author of four books, including Late Wife. Trethewey's latest collection of poems, Native Guard, won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize. The reading is followed by a wine reception.

Saturday Jan. 10th
