BRAVE NEW VOICES 11th Annual International Youth Poetry Slam Festival presenting more than 400 teenage poets, representing 44 cities and towns across the country. The slam will run from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. All ages welcomed. Contact bnv@youthspeaks.org or www.youthspeaks.org for further specifics.
Saturday July 19th
Change your attitude… Change your Life! This event is focused on helping you stop complaining, being rebellious and doubting yourself. The National Museum of Women in the Arts presents the third annual Washington African Diaspora Film Series featuring acclaimed films by and about women from the upcoming New York Film Festival, which showcases a variety of work from and about Africa and the African Diaspora.
